Float Glass Top Roller
Tin bath top roller machine used in float glass manufacturing process to control the thickness and width of glass ribbon
Automatic top rollers move the glass ribbon forward as it floats on the molten tin. By adjusting how fast the rollers turn and the angle at which they run, operators can control the thickness and keep the sheet width steady.
The automatic top rollers can produce float glass as thin as 0.12 mm. Their main features include:
- Compact design: the narrow width makes it suitable for installations where space is limited.
- Stable operation: radial runout of the rollers is kept within ≤0.1 mm, ensuring smooth performance.
- High precision: linear motion errors are controlled within ±0.1 mm, with the same level of repeatability.
- Reduced heat loss: roller rods are fitted with insulated water jackets to maintain stable forming conditions.
